The path of an analytics engagement

Consulting firms hire Linkpathbase for a clear sequence: scope the practice unit, intake extracts, draft visual boards, and brief partners. This page walks that path before you choose a specific engagement.

Four stages

  1. Scoping call. We confirm practice size, partner audience, and which engagement fits — diagnostic, utilization review, margin pack, or retainer.
  2. Extract intake. Delivery and finance contacts send time, fee, and roster files. We check project identifiers and flag gaps in week one.
  3. Draft boards. Visual boards go to your delivery lead for a private review. Annotations and wording adjust before partners see anything.
  4. Partner briefing. A 60–90 minute session with printed or projected boards. We leave two recommended actions and, for retainers, the next pack date.

What you prepare

  • A delivery contact and a finance contact
  • Twelve months of time and closed-project fees where possible
  • A roster with roles and start dates
  • A blocked slot for the closing briefing

What we protect

  • Role-level views until partners ask for names
  • Secure handling of extracts during the engagement
  • Deletion or return of source files after the agreed retention window
  • No software installation inside your environment
